Custom Integration

Modified on Mon, 17 Jul 2023 at 05:06 PM

To set up a Custom Integration in 24Metrics AdSecurity Platform please follow the instructions in the Setup Wizard.

1. Create a new Integration

Go to Integrations > Overview and click  + New Integration

Insert a name (it can be changed anytime) and select Custom Integration icon.

2. Set up Clicks (TAB)

Select the domain you want to use:

  • Default: generic domain provided by 24Metrics
  • Your own Domain: can be added in the Domain Setup TAB (see section 4 below)

Parameter mapping: rename/map the parameters you want to use to match your settings.

2a. Approved / Rejected clicks Configuration

Fill in a URL to send approved Clicks to and select the parameters you need. It is also possible to enable/disable passing extra parameters. You can also define how to handle rejected Clicks.

You can either enter a Custom Fallback URL to send rejected Clicks to. If there is no Fallback URL specified the fraudster will be redirected to the localhost. Or you can enable RTB monetization.

3. Set Up Conversions in the Conversion Tab

Map the default parameters and/or add extra parameters such as External_Transaction_ID or Third_Party_Rejected_Reason in order to generate your Postback URL.

3a. Advanced Rejection Endpoint
You may implement a rejection endpoint with the Advertiser's platform in order to sync and visualize the Conversion Status and Rejection Reason in 24Metrics reprots as well.

4. Set Up connection to your Custom Domain (optional)

You may use 24Metrics AdSecurity Default Domain or, optionally,  you can add your domains as well.

The platform allows you to add multiple domains.

How to add a custom domain:

  • go to Domain Setup TAB
  • click    + Add a Tracking Domain

  • insert your domain in the dedicated field: example.domain.com
  • copy the generated DNS Records and add them on your domain server (CNAME + CNAM ssl )
  • click   Add Domain   button to Save
  • repeat the action to add additional domains

Refer to your hosting for more details regarding the DNS Records listing or consult the Settings of your domain inside the Control Pannel.
