AdSecurity Tracking Setup

Overview

AdSecurity Tracking integrates tracking, fraud detection, and optimization into one platform. To activate it, you need to create an AdSecurity Tracking integration, configure basic settings including a fallback URL and postback parameters, set up a custom tracking domain with fingerprinting, and activate fraud screening filters.



Step 1: Creating an AdSecurity Tracking Integration


Navigate to Integrations:

  • Go to your platform dashboard.
  • Click on Integrations in the main menu.
  • Select +New Integration.


Select AdSecurity Tracking Platform:

  • From the list of available platforms, choose AdSecurity Tracking.
  • Click Save to add the integration.



Step 2: Configuring Basic Settings


Set a Global Fallback URL:


  • In the integration settings, locate the Global Fallback URL field.
  • Enter a URL that should be used if the primary tracking URL fails.
  • Save the settings.


Global Conversion Settings:

- Postback URL is also available on Offer level. Navigate to Offer settings -> General TAB -> Conversion Tracking.
- Image Pixel and Clickless conversio tracking is available as well in the same section.


  • Proceed to the Conversion Settings section.
  • Define the postback parameters, including the necessary macros and tokens to be sent upon conversion.
  • Ensure all mandatory fields are completed.



Step 3: Custom Domain Setup


Add a Tracking Domain:

Note: for testing purpose only, you may utilize the provided default domain to test your configuration before going live


  • Go to Domain Setup in the dashboard.
  • Click on +Add a Tracking Domain.
  • Enter your desired domain name
  • Save the settings.


Update DNS Settings:


  • Copy the provided CNAME values.
  • Access your domain registrar’s DNS settings.
  • Add the CNAME records as provided by the platform.
  • Save the changes in your DNS settings.
  • Note that, depending on your hosting, the new DNS settings might take between 5 to 30 min to update.
    Experiencing down time, SSL error or 404 error in this time frame is normal.






Step 4: Activating Fraud Screening


Access Filters/Targeting:


  • Navigate to Filters/Targeting from the main menu.
  • Select the AdSecurity Tracking integration you just created.
  • Create custom filter groups by clicking on +New Filter Group
  • Set rules to detect and prevent fraudulent activities such as invalid clicks, conversions and/or impressions.


Apply Filter Groups:


  • Go to the Offer Page.
  • Select and offer, go to Fraud Detection TAB
  • Select and apply a filter groups to your offer.
  • Note: fraud detection can also be applied on Events. An event must be defined in offer setting first.
