Duplicate IP

Modified on Mon, 5 Aug at 2:55 PM

A Duplicate IP occurs when two or more conversions on the same product / partner / affiliate level within a predefined time interval have the same user IP Address (also called click IP Address).

Duplicate IPs are considered fraudulent when an IP Address repeats itself excessively on the same product as this indicates the same user performing multiple conversions.

Advanced Reason: Duplicate IP

  • Marks Conversions with Duplicate IPs at product level in real-time.
  • Duplicate IP can be configured inside Filters to look back a certain number of hours in which a maximum limit of allowed duplicate IPs is set.

To reproduce the reason, go to the conversion report, select IP Address as a filter from the blue button and type in the IP address you want to check. Alternatively go the the selected source (affiliate, product, partner and time frame) inside the fraud report, click on Fraud Profile, and then go to Top IPs to see what the top duplicates are.

Advanced Reason: Duplicate IP Lookback

  • Marks ALL Conversions, including past conversions, with Duplicate IPs at product level over a 24h time frame.
  • Duplicate IP Lookback can be configured inside Filters to look back 24 hours in which a maximum defined limit of allowed duplicate IPs is set.
